Or Asher is a post-doctoral fellow at the Minerva Center for the Rule of Law Under Extreme Conditions. His research lies at the intersection of politics and law, with a particular emphasis on comparative constitution-making processes. In his dissertation, he developed a theory of civil society organizations’ involvement and influence in constitution-making, examining Israel and Ireland. His work highlights how CSOs are independent actors within constitutional politics.

During his fellowship at the Minerva Center, his research focuses on abusive constitutional efforts, paying special attention to the role CSOs play in initiating and legitimizing such efforts. He holds an M.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Political Science and History from Tel Aviv University
